We didn’t have a face-to-face safe space to talk about this, and we want to provide this within our community. What does the building look like, and how will I know I am in the right place? – The Shirley Centre is right by the Shirley Clinic, which is where most health visitor appointments take place. There’s always someone from the venue to direct you, but you’ll usually see one of us walking around in the PANDAS T-shirts! Is there parking or public transport nearby? – Due to our group being in the evening, there is free parking directly outside the building. There are also many different bus options serving the Stratford Road in Shirley. Any doors, buttons, or steps I should know about? – The building has no steps to access, and there are automatic doors to get in. Where can buggies be left? Are there toilets/changing facilities? – Buggies can be left within the building just outside our room (due to space). There are toilets with baby change facilities available within the building. What should I do when they walk in? – We always start by getting you comfortable with a drink and a snack, and asking you to use our sign-in sheet so we know who is who. Very informal and very relaxed – we are just really happy to see you. Is there anything else I need to know? – We only started our group in July, but we have already built such a lovely, warm and welcoming group. Any newcomers each month are just welcomed into the pack, and it’s so lovely to build a community of people who just get it.
About family groups for men
Mens Network lists 148 groups for men interested in family across the UK. Each listing is a real group you can contact directly — some are beginner-friendly and welcome a turn-up trial session, others are established clubs for regulars.
Browse the groups above to find one that fits how you want to take part. Use the sort and view controls to reorder the list, and the related categories at the foot of the page to explore other ways men are connecting.
Every group on Mens Network is here to help men meet, build routine, and find support. If you run a family group that isn’t listed yet, you can add it so other men can find it.
