Wimbledon PANDAS

In-person · Raynes Park

Dads only group, little ones are welcome to join! Usually runs the second Sunday of each month, 10am but dates may vary – check our social media channels for updates. Group Facilitator: Kam What inspired you to start your group? I wanted to create an environment to get new dads talking, because I know that in general, men (myself included), find it difficult to articulate their feelings. What does the building look like? How will I know I’m in the right place? The building is located in the Lantern Methodist Church Is there parking or public transport nearby? There is plenty of on street parking. There is a bus stop right outside the church and nearby train stations include Wimbledon, Wimbledon Chase and Raynes Park. Any doors, buttons, or steps I should know about?  There is step-free access and lifts available (though the Hub is on the ground floor) I’m feeling a bit nervous and am still not sure if this is for me – I am here to support you. New dads face similar challenges – this is a forum for dads to get to know each other, and hopefully to also see that there is no set way to balance everything!

Wokingham Walk

In-person · Wokingham

Hi, I’m Simon I’ve lived in Wokingham for about 26 years and have always enjoyed walking. My career has been mostly within health and social care. I’ve often found that when I get back from having a walk the stress of the day feels more manageable. Walking seems to give me time to process my thoughts. I don’t always find solutions, but I’ve had a great distraction to the worries of the day. Men’s health and wellbeing has always been something of importance to me, and I feel we are sometimes left behind, and it's assumed we cope. I hope to offer the Men of Wokingham a space, and some time for yourself and enjoy local walks in the company of others.

Worcester Walk

In-person · Worcester

Hi, my name is Neil and I am the walk leader for Worcester MWAT. I'm a married dad of two living in Worcester. Mental health has always been a topic of real importance to me and my family. I've spent nearly 10 years working in educational settings, supporting young people with their own challenges with mental health and, as brilliant as our educational system can be, it always felt as though there's never been enough to support men after they leave school. As someone who has had my own challenges with mental health it can be worrying difficult to find the right line of support but it's been a really amazing experience to see the positive impact these walks have.
