Wednesfield Walk

Hi everyone. My name is Steve and I am the walk leader for the Wednesfield group. I recently got involved with MWAT as I saw an old work friend was running a group in another area and I thought it was a fantastic idea and one I wanted to start in my local area. Unfortunately, I feel like there is such a stigma surrounding mental health, especially men's mental health and I believe this needs to change. Nobody should feel like they are alone and have to deal with issues on their own, and that is where my group and MWAT comes in. I am not ashamed to say I have experienced issues with my mental health and sometimes, every day can be a battle and throws me a curve ball. I have always found talking to someone has helped as it gives you another option or way of dealing with things that you yourself may not have thought about. That's the aim for my group. Come and make new friends, share the load in a safe space and let's all tackle mental health head on in a positive way. I look forward to seeing you on a walk. We meet every Wednesday at 7:00pm at the entrance to Perry Hall Park, on Colman Avenue and our walks last around an hour.
